Show, don’t tell is the greatest and most singular lesson an author needs to learn. Anton Chekov said it best, “Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.”
This is a short post because the lesson is so simple (but so important). Avoid all adjectives. Never tell us your character is angry. Have him kick a chair instead.
